DJ Wild Stud Poker

Rules of Play

  1. A Dealer button will be offered to all eligible Designated Players at the Table. DJ Wild Stud Poker is Played with a Standard Deck of 52 Plastic Playing Cards + 1 Joker for a total of 53 cards.
  2. Rake will be taken from the Designated Player’s Bank accordingly depending on the total amount of wagers placed. (See rake chart posted on table).
  3. All deuces and the single joker are all considered fully wild. They are utilized to complete Straights, Flushes, Full Houses, Quads, etc.
  4. Players are required to make a minimum “Ante” and a minimum “Blind” Wager to receive cards. The Blind Wager must be equal to the Ante Wager. Players may elect to make an optional “Bonus Wager”. Minimum and Maximum wagers are posted on the Table Plaque.
  5. Each player and the Designated Player will be dealt five cards. From these cards, each player will make their best five-card poker hand.
  6. If the Player wishes to play their hand, they may make an additional “PLAY” wager. The Player shall have the option to either call for an amount which is double (2X) the “Ante” wager or fold and forfeit their bets.
  7. Hand rankings for DJ Wild Card Poker are as follows in ascending order:
    • Five Wilds
    • Royal Flush
    • Five of a Kind
    • Straight Flush
    • Four of a Kind
    • Full House
    • Flush
    • Straight
    • Three of a Kind
    • Two Pair
    • Pair
    • High card
  8. After all players have played or folded their hands, the Designated Player will reveal their cards and the Dealer will individually compare it to each player’s hand.
  9. If the Player wins against the Designated Player hand, then their ANTE and PLAY bets are paid one-to-one. If the player wins and has a qualifying hand for the BLIND bet, it will be paid out according to the BLIND bet pay scale. If the player wins but does not have a qualifying hand for the BLIND wager, then the BLIND wager will be determined to be a push.
  10. If the Player has a qualifying hand for the optional BONUS side bet, then it will be paid out according to the “BONUS” pay scale located on the table.
  11. If a Player wishes to play a hand in the blind (without looking at their cards), then they must preemptively place a wager on the ANTE, BLIND, and PLAY spots in accordance with the standard betting rules.
  12. If a Player wishes to play multiple spots, then they are only allowed to look at one hand and must play all others blind. The house reserves the right to limit players from playing multiple hands.
  13. A natural and wild card hand of the same ranking are equal. For example, a natural Straight Flush to the 9 does not beat a wild card Straight Flush to the 9.

Two-Way Bad Beat

  1. Players will get paid on TWO WAY BAD BEAT bet according to the posted payout structure if you beat the dealer with a qualifying hand or the dealer beats you with a qualifying hand. Payouts based on hand beaten. TWO WAY BAD BEAT pays on lowest ranked hand. If Player and Dealer Tie, TWO WAY BAD BEAT bet loses.
  2. If the Player folds, the Two-Way Bad Beat, if wagered, is still in action. The Dealer will push the Player’s Ante and Blind Bets to the Designated Player. The Player’s cards are tucked face down under the Two-Way Bad Beat (if played) and will be resolved at the same time as remaining hands.
  3. Payouts for the Two-Way Bad Beat are based on the pay scale posted on the table.

House rules for games that include a Designated Player

  1. To be a Designated Player:
    • A Player must provide $30,000 per table for initial operational start up.
    • Maintain $30,000 in play per hand.
    • Follow all Designated Player rules in the poker room.
  2. The Dealer button must rotate around the card table in a clockwise fashion on a hand-to-hand basis, providing each player the opportunity to participate as the Designated Player.
  3. The Designated Player is not required to cover all potential wagers.
